Welcome to TiruList. By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. TiruList is a curated directory of Ethiopian and Eritrean businesses in the DMV, operated by TiruList, a Maryland business.

Using the site

You may use TiruList to find businesses, read and write reviews, save listings, and, if you own a business, to claim and manage your listing. You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its operation or with other people's use of it.

No scraping or automated collection

The listings, reviews, ratings, categories, and other content on TiruList are compiled through our own effort and are protected as a collective work and database. You may not, without our prior written permission:

• crawl, scrape, harvest, index, or copy any part of the site by automated means, including bots, spiders, scripts, or headless browsers;
• use the content to build, train, or improve any dataset, machine-learning model, or competing directory;
• collect email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact details from the site for bulk outreach;
• bypass or ignore our robots.txt file, rate limits, or any technical measure that restricts access.

Standard search-engine indexing (for example by Google and Bing) is welcome and is governed by our robots.txt file. Automated access outside of that is a breach of these Terms, and we may block it and pursue available remedies.

Reviews and other content you post

You are responsible for the reviews, photos, and other content you submit. It must be your own, honest, and lawful, and must not be defamatory, harassing, misleading, or infringing. By posting, you grant TiruList a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content on and in connection with the site. We may remove content that violates these Terms or our guidelines, and we may reflect that reviews come from their authors and not from us.

Business listings and claims

Listings are built from public records and open map data and are provided for general information. A business owner may claim a listing to manage it, and by claiming it you confirm you are authorized to represent that business. We may verify claims, and we may decline or reverse a claim we cannot verify. Do not submit listings or claims that are false, duplicated, or intended to mislead.

Accuracy and no warranty

We work to keep information accurate, but the site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that any listing, rating, hours, menu, fasting or dietary label, or other detail is complete or current, and we are not responsible for the goods or services any listed business provides. Please confirm important details directly with the business.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TiruList and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.

Intellectual property and takedowns

The TiruList name, logo, design, and compiled content are our property or used with permission. If you believe content on the site infringes your rights, or you are a business owner requesting a correction or removal, email support@tirulist.com with the material and its URL, and we will respond promptly. Third-party content, news, and media

TiruList links to publicly available information to serve the community. Where material originates elsewhere, it remains the property of its owner and we point back to the source:

• News headlines and images link to, and remain the property of, the original publisher. The summaries in our News section are written by TiruList, not copied from the articles.
• Videos and thumbnails in the Media section belong to their creators and are shown through YouTube; selecting one opens it on YouTube.
• Business names, logos, and photos are the property of their respective owners and are shown to identify the business in the directory. Owners can claim a listing to manage it, or request a change or removal.
• Scholarship, grant, and funding details link to the official provider; you apply on their site, and we never process applications or fees.
• Trademarks and brand names are the property of their respective owners; their use here is for identification only and does not imply endorsement.

If you are a rights holder and would like your content credited differently or removed, email support@tirulist.com with the material and the page URL, and we will respond promptly.

Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the site means you accept the current version. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
