Winners get a 'Community Choice Winner' badge for their own website, a free Featured placement on TiruList the following season, and a spotlight across our homepage and channels. It stays honest because there's nothing to buy and nothing to pay out.
A vote is a vouch (ምስክር). Open any award, find the business, and tap to vouch. Signed-in members vouch in one tap; everyone else just confirms an email (one vote per business) so votes stay real. The same vouch also counts everywhere else on TiruList.
There's no paid placement in the awards, ever. Ranking is community vouches only, and votes are limited to one per person per business with a bot check, so a business can't stuff the ballot. Owners are welcome to rally their real customers to vouch.
Whichever business has the most community vouches in its award when the season closes wins. Rankings are live the whole season, so you can watch your favorite climb and help push it up.
Each season runs about four months. The current season, Fall 2026, closes December 31, 2026, with winners announced January 5, 2027.
