Many DMV halls allow it. 43 venues in our directory say on their own page that outside food or an outside caterer is allowed, some with conditions like a licensed caterer or a per-guest fee. Always confirm with the venue.
Traditionally, Orthodox church weddings are not held during the fasting seasons: Advent before Genna, the Fast of Nineveh, Great Lent before Fasika, the Fast of the Apostles and Filseta in August. Wednesdays and Fridays are weekly fast days outside the weeks after Fasika. Confirm your date with your priest.
A year ahead is a good rule for a large wedding, especially for a Saturday in a popular month. The venue sets the date, and the caterer, photographer and DJ follow it.
Count your full list, then look for a room whose stated capacity is above it, with space for the dance floor. A seated dinner holds fewer people than a standing reception, so check which figure a venue gives.
